Kansas City Dog Treats Co. was born out of a love for our city and the pets who give it heart. Each treat is crafted with simple ingredients and a whole lot of hometown soul.

Founded by Scott Poore, a proud Kansas Citian who has spent 15+ years advocating for the most vulnerable shelter dogs, our treats go beyond flavor—they honor our roots, reflect our values, and celebrate the dogs that make Kansas City home.

About Scott Poore

Scott transitioned from corporate America and medical sales in 2014 to focus on animal advocacy. Volunteering in shelters, he discovered his calling to help long-term shelter pets find homes. He launched Mission Driven Goods, an online store supporting animal shelters through pet-themed merchandise. His innovative approaches, amplified by social media, have grown a community of over 145,000 supporters and earned features on major media outlets.

In 2023, Scott expanded his vision with On A Mission KC, a nonprofit shining a light on dogs at the end of the row in rural shelters. Within a year, he raised nearly $305,000 and facilitated 125 adoptions of long-term shelter pets. Since then, Scott has helped over 1,500 shelter pets find forever homes and raised $1.5 million for animal and community causes. His work has earned recognition as Best Community Activist, Best Local Hero, and Best Philanthropist in Kansas City.
